You have the right idea, Nice Guy, nothing beats making your own when you can.
We just had our tanks filled(LP)and it is half the price of NoB. What a blessing!

By the way... in our little NoB town we have electric rates that increase with your usage same as here.
A propane heater might be way more cost-effective, all things considered. Lizzy

My neighbor here has an infrared propane heater that he likes - runs from a portable tank so it all goes in the garage when not needed. No external vent - but no smell.
